The second trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home showed us a lot of interesting things, which you can find in more detail here. One of these was likely a reference to the death of Gwen Stacy from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But it looks like the loss of Spider-Man’s love will be much more significant in the upcoming Marvel Studios production!

According to Twitter user @bigscreenleaks, Gwen Stacy’s thread of death from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 won’t be just a small reference! It is described as a large part of the development of Peter Parker by Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. According to the leaks, Garfield will tell this depressing story to Holland, from which he will probably draw many conclusions that will later translate into deeds in the final fight on the Statue of Liberty. At the moment, it’s just a leak, so watch it with a grain of salt. However, I will not be surprised how this will actually happen. I think it would be a very interesting interaction that would further shape Parker from the MCU into the definitive version of Spider-Man.

After revealing Spider-Man’s secret identity in the final moments of Far From Home, Peter Parker will ask Doctor Strange to restore his secret identity through magic – similar to the 2007 comic book One More Day. However, not everything will go so smoothly, as Parker’s interference with Strange’s spell will seriously disturb the multiverse. Spider-Man will have to face Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), Electro (Jamie Foxx), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) and Lizard performed by Rhys Ifans from The Amazing Spider-Man movie. Additionally, fans await the very likely return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to the role of Spider-Man.
