Matrix is one of the most iconic and recognizable franchises. In December, the fourth edition will be released, entitled Resurrection. There are also chances for a fifth part, but whether we will see it depends on Lana Wachowski.
The cult SF series can see the fifth installment. Matrix: Resurrection will receive a sequel, but the decisive voice here is Lana Wachowski, the director of the latest installment. This was even confirmed by the CEO of Warner Bros. – Ann Sarnoff.
In an interview with Sarnoff and WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar, Deadline notes that the upcoming movie The Matrix: Resurrections was originally made for the purpose of rebooting the series. Sarnoff herself admitted that they are willing to create films with Lana Wachowski:
Every time Lana [Wachowski] wants to make a movie, we all take part in it.
The film was directed by Lana Wachowski from a script she wrote with David Mitchell and Alexander Hemon. The producers are Grant Hill, James McTeigue and Lana Wachowski. The executive producers are Garrett Grant, Terry Needham, Michael Salven, Jesse Ehrman and Bruce Berman.
In the new picture, the actors from the previous parts return – Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss – in the roles of the famous characters Neo and Trinity. Also starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci, Telma, Eréndira Ibarra, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Brian J. Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.

The image will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. The world premiere is scheduled for December 15, 2021. In Poland, the film will be shown from December 17.
