Let there be no traces – the main trailer of the film about the death of Grzegorz Przemyk

The distributor of Kino Świat presented the main trailer promoting the Polish film Let there be no traces. The historical drama will present the case of the fatal beating of the high school graduate Grzegorz Przemyk.

The film Let there be no traces is the latest work by Jan P. Matuszyński, the director of the award-winning “The Last Family” and the TV series “Król”. The production is based on the best-selling, NIKE award-winning reportage by Cezary Łazarewicz “Let there be no traces. The case of Grzegorz Przemyk ”, presents the story of a crime that touched the whole nation – the fatal beating of Grzegorz Przemyk, a high school graduate. In May 1983, the authorities of the Polish People’s Republic engaged their entire state apparatus to cover up the circumstances of this death. The cast, creators and producers of the film

In the film we will see a galaxy of Polish cinema stars, and the main roles will be played by Tomasz Ziętek and Sandra Korzeniak, and – for the first time on the screen in a large role – by Mateusz Górski as Grzegorz Przemyk. In addition, the film will include, among others Jacek Braciak, Agnieszka Grochowska, Robert Więckiewicz, Aleksandra Konieczna, Adam Bobik and Tomasz Kot. The casting director is Piotr Bartuszek. The director is Jan P. Matuszyński – the creator of the award-winning “Last Family” and the series “Król”, and the production is responsible for Aurum Film – Leszek Bodzak and Aneta Hickinbotham, producers of the Oscar-nominated “Corpus Christi”. The project was also attended by other creators who constantly collaborated with Jan P. Matuszyński, incl. cinematographer Kacper Fertacz (“The Last Family”, “Król”, “Hardkor Disko”) and editor Przemysław Chruścielewski (“Corpus Christi”, “The Last Family”, “Król”). Małgorzata Zacharska is responsible for the costumes (“Suicide Room. Hejter”, “Maria Skłodowska-Curie”), and Pola Guźlińska (“Carte Blanche”, “Król”). The set design was prepared by Paweł Jarzębski (“Butler”). Kaja Krawczyk-Wnuk is the author of the script for the film “Lest there be traces”.

The film is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute and French ARTE, and the co-producers are CANAL + Polska, Mazowiecki and Warsaw Film Fund, as well as foreign partners – Les Contes Modernes (France) and Background Films (Czech Republic). The foreign film sales agent is New Europe Film Sales.

When will the premiere Let there be no traces?

The movie’s premiere is scheduled for September 24, 2021. Kino Świat is responsible for distribution in cinemas.

The film will have its world premiere at the 78th Venice International Film Festival (September 1-11), where it will compete for the prestigious Golden Lion statuette. A moment later, production will debut in Poland – at the 46thŁukasz Bąk.
